NCL’s former Pride of Hawaii has been renamed Norwegian Jade and will operate year-round cruises in Europe.

World Discover formerly owned by Society Expeditions was sold to Silversea Cruises in 2007. She will begin cruises as the Prince Albert II this spring after an extensive refurbishment.

Lindblad Expeditions has acquired the ice class polar expedition vessel Lyngen  from Hurtigruten. She will begin cruises in the summer as the National Geographic Explorer.

Royal Caribbean International’s Sovereign of the Seas will be reassigned to the company’s Pullmantur fleet in Spain in October.

Star Cruises’ SuperStar Gemini sold to undisclosed buyer. SuperStar Gemini will be chartered back from the new owner until December 2008 when she is handed over.

Royal Caribbean International’s Empress of the Seas will be transferred in spring 2008 to Pullmantur, the Madrid-based cruise and tour operator that parent company, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. purchased in November 2006
