Bermuda claims to have the most golf courses per mile in the world—there are eight private and public courses on the 20 ½ square-mile island. The courses are of varying degrees of difficulty but all offer breathtaking views. Often the Excursions Desk on board ship can prearrange tee times for passengers.

Introduction by a member is required to play on the private courses although some hotels can introduce their guests to these clubs and arrange tee times.

Belmont Hills Golf Course

The former Belmont Golf Course in Warwick Parish has been completely remodeled and upgraded with 419 Bermuda Grass fairways and Tiff Eagle greens and re-opened in June 2003. The U.S.G.A. standard course provides a challenging layout with excellent ocean views and tropical landscaping. 6,017 yards Par 70. This private club in Warwick Parish, with selected weekday access to visitors, is Bermuda’s oldest course and opened in 1922.
